when you finish pbem turn, does the game send your turn to the host automaticly? Or do you have to save the turn, attach file to email and send it?

I am interested in starting a small multiplayer...

I prefer at least 3 shields on my cruisers. I get better results in the simulator that way, and lose less ships in battles.

I wouldn't suggest getting 5-8 people into an IP game. That's cause once you save the game, you will not open it for several weeks, if not months - that's how hard it is to get everybody back...

Why not let the player who sets up an IP game to choose between letting combat be tactical or strategic only. I know that I would rather wait 5 extra minutes every turn and be able to move my ships...

I am not sure what you are trying to say, but what I meant was: AI ship designs wouldn't be specified ahead of time by players. AI would create all the designs by itself and select 'best ones' based...

I noticed that AI doesn't make very good ship designs. I set up a demo game with open technology tree, so every race had all the demo tech. After I met cruisers from AI, I spent some time designing...

About tractor beams, when you fire and hit some ship, that ship teleports right on your own ship. Shouldn`t tractor beam move the enemy ship right next to your ship instead? 2 ships shouldn`t occupy...

In IP games, one player uses his computer as the server for the game, so all others connect to him after getting his IP address.
After that it`s pretty much like hot seat playing. I like to play...

I managed to get a range check error by firing *worm hole gun*, the one that teleports enemz ships in random locations.
I got that error right before firing it on the same enemy ship for 5th time in...

The reason I bought this game was so I could compete in development and military strategies with other people. That's where the fun is, proving others that you are a better player than someone else....

I get a feeling this whole game is a very low budget program. There's not enough people working on the game, only 1 programmer I think. Is that right? anyone know? It sure would help to have a few...

I also think that it would be better if instead of current tactical model - 1 side moves all ships, then the other side moves all ships, we had something different. Wouldn't...

When you designing a new race to play and you choose home planet type, what do you prefer?

It is clear that the best pick would be Gas Giant home world. That's cause those planets are often huge...

I live about 1 hour from Malfador Machinations office, so when I ordered the game Online I chose the cheapest UPS delivery. I thought it would take them 2 days at most, but no, gotta wait for more...

Does AI consider how their opponents equip their ships? For example, if the enemy never uses missiles, AI stop equiping point defense, and the like.

It could help to carry a few constructor ships...

considering ships require resources to maintain, it's not a very good idea. Satalites don't cost resources, but they can't store much. I dunno

does anyone know if you get resources by scrapping...

how about using those solar collector thingies that generate X supplies each turn multiplied by the number of stars in the system. Just make 1 big ship full of those supply generators and your fleet...

I used to play Alpha Centauri by setting up IP games. For those who don't know, it's played similar to SE, turn based, takes forever.

If you wanna set up a direct connection then you better be...
