I choose the download version, and it came with a 32bit executable and a 64bit executable - for Linux. :p

I don't think the "interecepting armies" thread helps here much: the described behaviour should not occur, i.e. armies orginating from the same province should not split up when ordered to move...

I think map-size is the biggest game changing factor. I play vanilla MP games with 10-15 provinces per player for 5-6 players. All settings remain on default.
I don't see the need for the CBM yet....

One thing to consider is that the download version comes with the manual as PDF. This has the advantage of being automatically searchable (Ctrl-F, etc.).
