Default PBW server upgrade?

Geo, you didn't by any chance upgrade the PBW server? I've been noticing some unusually high download speeds...

maybe they had a black ops team go to Hugh Manatee's place and stole all the goodies out of his GOOD machine, and did a refit job on the PBW machines.

Hey, have I slipped into Bizarro universe where the PBW threads aren't complaining about down time?

No server upgrades. The only change of any consequence recently is I moved it to my garage. Instead of a direct connection to the DSL router it's hooked up via wireless network to the DSL router. No matter how good I doubt the wireless netweork is faster then a 5 foot cat 5 cable so the limiting factor is still the DSL itself. Perhaps the ISP has made some improvements to the backbone.

I suppose being in the garage and the only thing plugged into the outlet instead of sharing a power strip with another pc and printer could have made the server more stable. Don't think it would make it faster though.

And maybe it's running better since then cause I cleaned out a few months worth of dust when I took it out there.

Or it doesn't like sharing space with lawnmowers and old deflated basketballs, 'cause now it's down again.
