Default A very nasty problem - AI modders please help!

I have a designcreation problem for my AI. When the quantum reactor is researched, my AI totally srewed up with the designs. It deletes the current dreadnought design from the list, and replaces with a battlecruiser. The next turn this happens vice versa. This problem is only occurs with only two types of attack ship.

I tried almost everything (can`t sleep for 2 days!), but couldn`t find the solution.

If anyone have any idea I hardly wait.

My guess is that the problem comes from the different weapons.
It could be that the AI takes the torpedo (which you have in your battlecruiser and as second pick in the DN without QR) as the "better" weapon. For the AI (at least sometimes) a weapon is better if it researched later.
Happens to me with missiles/PPB and switching between small and medium weapon platforms.
Have you tried equipping the DN with QR qith a torpedo or using it as a second pick? Another possibility might be the alteration of your research file. Make sure that the hellbore is researched after the torpedoes.

Create a design with a weight that will only result in one ship class (e.g. BB in your case) and another one for the DN. Make sure that the biggest ship is placed highest on the list. I hope this will solve the problem.

Rexxx your idea helped me a lot, but not the way you tought. I had to add both Torpedos, and Graviton Hellbores to ALL designs in the SAME order. Probably this is because the AI force to use always the higher level of weapons, regardless of their type. This is overrided by the weapon order in the weapon pick list, but min/max Kt restriction doesn`t count. This can be a very rare case, cuz most of the weapons have only lvl 5 max.

Oh, and there is another problem appears: I can`t prevent the AI to use low level hellbores, but I "dealed" with them...

I`ll post the new Version (probably the Last until next SE IV patch) in a few days.
