Default loading fyrons quadrant mod + TDM

Hi,

i recently installed Win XP on my puter and one of the first install is of course SE IV. Now i used to just play gold, 1.78 with TDM. I now also
want to play using the image mods ( no problem installing them) and using Fyrons Quadrant Mod deluxe 2.00 together with the TDM mod.
However, the mod selector only always you to select 1 mod at a time so how do i play the TDM mod with quadrants generated with the Quadrant mod?

Guess I should add this to the Readme! You have 3 options.

1) Copy the Pictures\Races folder from TDM into the Pictures folder of FQM Deluxe.

2) Copy all relevant data files from FQM Deluxe into the TDM folder.

3) Make a new mod, which combines the TDM files with the FQM files.

IMO, the best option would be the first option, becuase it is the easiest.

I find that to be the easyest once installed.
This way any mod will use FQM and TDM.

Well... installing the TDM races into the FQM folder won't affect the FQM Deluxe mod at all for PBW purposes and such.

yesterday i copied the quadrant mod into the tdm mod directory and when i started the game, i got an error for the formations file of a race (name escapes me). They used the scissors as default formation. The scissors formation is in the data\formations.txt file of TDM but not in the data\formations.txt file of the quadrant mod. So it would be handy to know what files from the data dir are needed by the quadrant mod to make sure that TDM also keeps the files it needs.

The TDM formations.txt was overwritten by FQM's formations.txt - just get back the TDM formations file and you'll be fine, it's the only TDM data modification.

Or, you can change the formation that AI uses in AI Formations in its race folder. This will allow you to keep FQM compatible for multiplayer play, esp. with PBW. But if you don't plan on playing MP, go ahead an overright the formations file with the TDM one.

Or better yet, get the Ultimate Strategies Mod (USM) at: http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin...;f=23;t=004611

Install the Formations file from it into the FQM mod. It has all the TDM formations, plus more. All new Versions of FQM Deluxe are going to have USM in them.
