Can I use mods with SE4G DEMO ??

Hi hi,
As my SE4G copy still has to cross the Pond (it may take a week or so...), I'm starting play with the Demo
I'm still in the Tutorial (I've not much time for playing... ), but I would find it cool to have a ST-fed or SW looking Empire !

I've read that the demo data files were NOT moddable, but perhaps graphics are ? I've found lots of mods, but don't know how to use them with the demo...

Help, someone ?

I'm pretty sure you can add shipsets to the demo.
Of course, you can always add them and see if it works!

Download one of the new sets that have been updated or created since the CD was made, then even if it dosen't work with the demo, you won't have wasted your time.

I think you can not ADD shipsets to demo,
but you can REPLACE ship pictures.
For example, download ST Federation, rename
frigate picture to ,for example, terran_portrait_frigate.bmp and put it to terran folder.

Arf, no need to tinker with the demo, my game copy get through a wormhole !
I made my order to Shrapnel Monday near 5.00 pm here in France, and an UPS guy rushed at my door with the precious CD THIS MORNING AT 8.00 AM !!
