looking for certain ship sets

I am wondering if anyone has knowledge on some specific ship sets. Mostly looking for any Babaylon 5 ships, perhaps Robotech: "Zentradi", possibly "Wing Commander", or any other great sets that might have been represented in Sci-Fi television or movies. Thanks, oh and if you could also tell me if they are compatible with Gold.

There are B5, Star Trek, Star Wars sets as well as cylons, colonials and a few from the WH4K universe, and I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. I don't know how many are gold compatible however. I know the star wars are not, and the cylons are, but other than that i'm not sure.

Kind of a shame about the SW shipsets. They're so pretty...i'd love to use them. Has anyone written a 1.47 -> Gold AI update tutorial or anything? I'd take a stab at it. Oh, and I guess theres would need to be a drone image made.

Note that the shipset is compatible, even if the AI using it is not.

You can still download the images for human player use, and/or copy the text files from another AI.

SJ is correct. If the AI files are currently not compatible, you can take one of the existing sets that you feel most closely matches the description of the empire whose shipset you are porting and rename them along with their folder in the appropriate spot under Pictures. Do the same with the .emp file under the Empires folder. This will allow you to modify and change the shipsets at the start of the game so you can then "save empire". I've done this with some ST shipsets and will now apply to the Bab5 ones

There's a comprehensive listing of just about every shipset ever made on Kuat Drive Yards. Lots of SW ones there, and more besides. I forget the URL, but it's linked from my website which you can find in in my sig.

Ahh, cool. Thanks. So i can install all the stuff in the pictures directory. Goto in, and replace the ai files it came with with any other ai files for gold? So AI's are not tied directly to a race (other than being in the same directory and having a certain filename). Nifty.

Yes. See the second link in my sig.

This won't teach the AI to use drones, but it gets rid of the error Messages.
