Bug Question 1.60 Gold and one more thing
I'm playing my first REAL (more than 100 turns) game of SEIV gold, and I've noticed something that looks like a bug to me. Occaisionally (at least twice), I've had an enemy fleet approach a defended planet (with weapons platforms)in tactical combat, and with fast tactical combat OFF, the following occurs:
1. The enemy gets within range of the planet's weapons. I volley off the weapons.
2. The enemy fleet moves closer (but perhaps still out of range of non-missle weapons), but doesn't appear to fire.
3. Next combat turn, my planet has every weapon module destroyed, yet I never saw a single enemy ship fire.
4. The enemy wipes my population from the surface of the planet (with normal fire that I can see).
Anyone else seen this? Is this a known bug?
Also, (seperate thing), I tried to play SEIV Gold on WineX on Linux, and it runs great, EXCEPT for the fact that the ship sprites don't show up. Anyone happen to know why that is or have a workaround?
