Please some Screen and SPMBT Resolutions that Work
I'm having fits trying to match my screen resolution and a SPMBT resolution that will even function, let along has text that is legible. Could some ppl kindly just list the screen resolution and the SPMBT resolution they are using.
I'm hoping to get a largish window with text that can be read.
Many thanks

Re: Please some Screen and SPMBT Resolutions that Work
Easy solution is to buy the game & set the resolution to desktop, it then uses the resolution your computer is using & fills the screen.
The graphics are also clear & crisp I can zoom out all the way & see the smoke tell tales from enemy artillery with no difficulty.

Re: Please some Screen and SPMBT Resolutions that Work
you said in anopther thread that you have the CD version. As people have said, set the game mode to "windowed" and the screen/window size to "desktop".
In my case, the resolution of my monitor is 1920 x 1080.
With other games, (I have to admit I don't play SPMBT all the time!) I have found that text in games is easiest to read if you have your desktop resolution (and the game resolution, for those games where you can set it differently) to be the maximum possible. Sounds odd, you would think that chosing a less fine resolution would make things easier to read, but in my experience that is not the case.

Lets start at the beginning......make a screen shot and show us EXACTLY what you see when you say " let along has text that is legible." seeing it makes the problem understandable.......just saying " let along has text that is legible. when I'm running 1920x1080 windowed desktop........ with glasses because without them the text has to be
at least THIS BIG
for me to read the text...... and I still have to squint to read it clearly when I don't have the glasses on but with them on I see the game at 1920x1080 windowed desktop PERFECTLY and so does Andy and so do a lot of people.
At least once a year we go though this with someone, so HELP ME understand what you are having difficulty with using CLEAR EXAMPLES. .........WHY is the text "Not Legible " to you.
FYI sometimes I get less than sharp text when starting the game and it's usually after I have accessed a number of other things first... it almost ALWAYS goes away with a reboot. I suspect the display is being slightly shifted but in my case it will not show on a screen shot so it's not the game or the computer it's the monitor.

Re: Please some Screen and SPMBT Resolutions that Work
Essentially, as Don pointed out earlier: what is the primary question? Are you having an issue that can be called a bug or is the font(s) simply too small?
If you're dis-satisfied with the small font (actually a miracle of coding simplicity, efficiency and genius, considering what 640x480 tends to look like on modern resolutions than I recommend the Windows magnifier utility. I've found this program useful because I have vision problems. Perhaps it's a bit of a pain in the *** though. At any rate, I suggest trying different resolutions. You might be shocked.
Just a thought.
Best regards.
