Help needed for correct Window resolution.
I've got a new computer, with a window resolution of 1366 x 768. OS is Windows 7, home.
I have the CD version of WinSPMBT.
Upon installing the game, I set the "Screen/Windows Size" as "Desktop.
When trying to play the game, the game window comes up as a wide and low window. The same goes, whenever i set the "Screen/Windows Size" any bigger than 800 x 600.
The game functions correct when I set the "Game Mode" as "Full screen".
I've checked FAQ, Game Installation and Tuning Your Machine chapters in the Game guide, version March 2012, with no luck.
Somebody please help me to get the game working in Window mode.

Re: Help needed for correct Window resolution.
It's rather unique to have someone tell us everything works great in Full screen mode and have a problem with windowed mode.
If you are set to DirectX try GDI. If you are set to GDI try DirectX.
Andy may have a better handle on this if that doesn't work for you.

Re: Help needed for correct Window resolution.
And my laptop has that resolution, and works fine in both modes in W7.
You wouldn't happen to have the auto-hide[/b] function turned on for the task bar by any chance?. If so - please read the big red box with flashing text that is placed in the Game Guide, "Running WinSPMBT from the GameOptions Programme" section , which is right at the front of the G/G in the installation destructions.
If no auto-hide "on" problem, then an incorrectly patched game is the usual reason since the weird 768 deep wide-screen resolution needed a tweak of -2(?) pixels as it is not properly divisible by 4 pixels, or whatever the WinVFX graphics library requires. That tweak only appeared in a later patch, but users who have not correctly patched may see that, since the 2 pixel extra also mangles the graphics that way. (Patch skipped, or end user has manually patched to the wrong path, or end user has used the default /program files/ hierarchy as specifically told not to for vista/7 and later, and so vista/7 has cheerfully put your patch files into some weird folder (probably under your user data) - as a result of that)
But - me suspects auto-hide as the culprit, since you appear to have a patched to-date GG.
cheers
Andy

Re: Help needed for correct Window resolution.
Well, I did read everything very carefully - except the highlighted part...
Thanks Andy - now it is working correct.
