Disappearing icons
Not quite sure where to put this, but as it's a Mobhack query I'll start here.
I've added a few icons to SPMBT from WW2, and those I've added that have the 'invisible' m/g don't show up in Mobhack. At least, they do when they are first added but not thereafter. However, they do show up on the battlefield.
Any ideas?

Re: Disappearing icons
Did you add them to a file specifically set up for invisible turret icons ??.

Re: Disappearing icons
OK, then I have no idea what could be wrong as that file is an invisible turret file and I double checked the master game code and it IS set up that way.
Post the SHP file and I'll look at it. Are you sure you entered the correct Icon number into the unit in MOBHack ?
Have you used SHPEdit before ?

Re: Disappearing icons
Yes, and yes. I know it's the correct number because when I first add the new icon to Mobhack, it appears. Click off the unit and back on it and hey presto, it's disappeared. But as I said, it shows up in the game.
File attached, the first 6 icons are my additions.

PS Just a thought - would it make a difference that the icons are from WinWW2?

No.
I've been busy but will look into this sometime in the next few days but WHY would you add new Icons to an old file when there are blank ones sitting in the folder ???

Re: Disappearing icons
The short answer is there appears to be a break in the MBT MOBHack code that reads the icon allotment and I won't be able to dig any further right now.
I have NO idea what you thought you saw initially but in my tests there were NO Icons showing when correct Icon numbers were entered into MOBHack for that SHP file. They show up in the game because the game code is set up correctly and I'm 99.9% sure I know why they don't show up in MOBHack and the problem affects 183 and 184 but not 182 or 185 ( and it has NOTHING to do with them being "invisible turrets" ) The code used by the game and MOBHack are slightly different and I suspect this is a cut and paste error and there are commas where there shouldn't be in the MOBHack code.

Curioser and curioser, because I can load icons from 184 into Mobhack just fine . . . . (whoops, just looked again and you're right, same issue)
Didn't realise 183 was an old file, the master icon list shows it as empty, and I thought I'd start at the end to make compromising any other new offerings less likely.
Thanks for your time Don.

Re: Disappearing icons
183 Isn't an old file but the file you added your icons to then renamed IS. There are blank SHP files in the graphics folder specifically to use for the purpose of making new SHP files
