Re: US Stryker Brigade
John,
Hope this helps.
1. First sets up the plan for the Stryker combat brigades dated from 1999. I think the tables at the bottom (Click on to enlarge.) will be most useful and it seems this is what was adopted based on the next two newer references.
http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...igade-ibct.htm
2. Next is info on the 3rd SBCT "Arrowhead Brigade"
(Formally the 3rd Brigade.), 2nd ID the first unit converted over by the USA. Unit make up is to the right hand margin click on them for further info.
http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...y/2id-3bde.htm
3. 101 means just that from this dedicated STRYKER website. Go about half way down (Next line under Corps and ARMY definition.) for the 3-2 SBCT (As above.) and 1-25 SBCT brigade make up. Again seems to be in line with the above two refs.

Sorry no pics.
Regards,
Pat

Re: US Stryker Brigade
HIMARS is included in the mix too. They chose towed because of the ability to keep better pace with the Stryker vehicles. I do know they are feverishly working on adopting an 105mm to the vehicle chassis, which decreases range and lethality of the gun, but provides chassis commonality and similar levels of crew protection.

Re: US Stryker Brigade
Does anyone know why the Stryker mobile gun platoon has 3 vehicles, rather than 4. Most American armored type platoons to my knowledge have been using 4 vehicle platoons since the introduction of the Abrams. Thanks
