Exclamation Helo shot down at speed of 150mph...

Anyone ever had their helo shot down at a speed of 150 mph by another helo? That's bananas....! I had a Cobra helo shot down by a Hind. This was a S.Korea vs N.Korea meeting engagement in 2010. I am S.Korea. Talk about your opponent getting lucky..... Not complaining just wondering if anybody else had a similiar experience.....

I had an Apache get shot/damaged/destroyed (don't remember) by infantry rifle team, while traveling at max speed. **** happens.

Had that also one which I think was moving fast as was going back to pick up troops, plane came in & took it out with short range weaponry.

Never had any of the above happen "yet" to me.
These seem "out of the ordinary" occurances.
If you have Helo's and planes in the mix sometimes they may clash.
It's all good, makes the play little more interesting.

{Edit)I recall Rpg's shooting down Blackhawk's in Somalia

Sticking with the unlucky theme, but a little more down to earth now. I started a little generated campaign today, small infantry force playing against irregulars on 30 x 30 maps.
Second or third battle in and in the first turn after deployment, I find three IEDs/booby traps deployed right next to my troops! Quite an alarming start to a battle!

To be honest, I first I thought that shouldn't be allowed to happen, but I actually found it added a good dimension to the game. I'm still a little unclear as to what exactly triggers them when they are controlled by the AI, so all I could do was turn off the weapons of those units that were adjacent, and start to slowly move engineers in to disarm them while the battle raged around them.

When you find IEDs you have to ways to act:
1.Avoid, If you can't spare an engineer unit to disarm it, just go past it, but don't touch it, be extra carefull if versus a human opponent, they may have an ambush there, snipers can be nasty

2.Disarm, only do it if it blocks a path, you need, first, get scouts 2-3 hexes near it then spread out looking for snipers and ambush, now, if you can spare a mortar tube, bombard suspected enemy hiding spots, OR smoke directly over the bomb if in a clear area, now, move infantry to secure the area then move engineer to disarm, takes some 4 to 5 turns to do if you have teams ready for that near the area, long, but safe, you don't want a retreating unit to enter that hex
