Deathstalkers New Patch Game, PBW
Well, thought I'd get into the swing of things here and start a new game.( my 8 pbw games have dwindled to 3, with 2 of them being over soon thanks to the People .)
Anyway, first off, this game will be on Last player upload from Nov27 till Dec 10, during which time I will be getting married. No SE4 was part of the pre-nups during that period . (Thats why I am starting a new game instead of joining another, could not really justify holding up someone elses game for 2 weeks.)
I am have set the player limit to 20, but am looking for about 10 to 12 good players, more depending on response.
The stats are on PBW right now. The biggest thing I wanted to know is if people want to play the game with my Mod (the Weapons Mount Mod) that I posted awhile ago. It just adds new mounts to the game. This will be decided by vote.
Thoughts???

Re: Deathstalkers New Patch Game, PBW
Well, that makes three so far (four including myself)...
So what do you guys think? Standard 1.49? or add in the Mount Modd? (incase nobody remember's it here is the latest Version to peruse).
That and AI's, if we get a low turnout (ie, 6-8 players) then I will add in some AI's, but normally I believe not to add any, they are too easy to abuse, esp for colony tech.
Edit (corrected platform ranges and spelling)

I don't think there will be a problem finding players.
If NPC races are to be in the game you might want to at least include the TDM mod so the NPC's will be challenging. Otherwise I would just vote to leave them out.

Re: Deathstalkers New Patch Game, PBW
Personally (and everyone does it a different way) I just put 'old' in front of the original file, and then add the new one in. But that is just for 'one shot' changes, ie, the modd I have is just the CompEnhancement.txt(sp?) so you don't need to create another whole 'Data' directory and a new path.txt. Then when you need the original file back again just put a '1' or something in the name of the modded file and take the other pre-fix out of the old file. Time consuming but that is how I do it.
And yes I would definitly use the TDM modpack for AI's if they are added, my one wish for PBW though is to have every race available (hard task I know...)...But it could be done, just have a central TDM-Modpack file and then add in all the uploaded races, that way people could add the races they want to the game.

Re: Deathstalkers New Patch Game, PBW
OK, 20 people have signed up for the game. It has been upgraded to a 1.49 game with the Deathstalker's Mound Modd added on.
Man this is gonna be a bLast!
If anyone wants to add their thoughts/observations about the game this can be the 'official' thread.
The havoc will begin on Wed.
(again, thanx Geo for setting this modd up!)
