Dralasite Shipsets?

So, if this subject caught your attention, that probably means that either your familiar with the early '80's Sci-fi RPG "Star Frontiers" or your a ship designer. Either way, you can help me! I've always been a HUGE fan of Star Frontiers game and I really wanted to create a Dralasite shipset. However, I have next to zero ship design abilities. Can anyone help? I played a lot of Star Frontiers a long, long time ago! For the life of me, I can't remember what the Dralasite ships looked like.

Have you tried a software package called Doga L2? Somebody on one of the SE4 forums (I can't remember who, or else I'd give them the credit) posted about it and I downloaded a shareware copy. It makes designing ship really easy, because you can pick from premade ship/mecha parts and piece ships together.

You can find it at http://www.doga.co.jp/english. Registration is only $49, which is a steal in my opinion for what it can do. The texture capabilities aren't anything to write home about, but it's so easy to use that just about anybody can make some pretty cool ship sets.

I had never played Star Frontiers.
Made a web search and found a little of info and rules, descriptions of the races, including the Dralasite. But only vague references to starships, not pictures or detailed descriptions.
Maybe I can make them into the �shapeless slime� shipset I already have.

That could work. The Dralasites didn't have their own ships in the game. They were members of the UPF which maintained the space fleets. I'm just looking for something that COULD be Dralasite ships, IF blobs made them.

Actually, the site is there, you just need to remove the period from the end of the URL. The correct URL is:
http://www.doga.co.jp/english/

The period accidently got included on the URL in the first post.

You might want to download L3 instead. It's texture manager is much better with loads more features including the ability to import custom textures and use them as straight up skins or as bump/specularity/glow/transparency masks.

Like L2, it's basically free for still images and you only need to register for DoGA's movie making capability.
