Default obat06 France mech platoon loading problem

Long post for a minor error - apologies in advance.

oob 06 France formation 177 Mech Inf Pl
and I assume the parent Coy formations

Time - October 1960

There are four Unit 90 AMX VCI with a carry cap of 10 which is sufficient to load the three unit 254 Mech Inf Sec at 9 men each.

The last APC carries unit 255 Lt Mech Inf Sec at 5 men
and

one inf-AT formation of either
unit 112 Bazooka Team at 2 men or
unit 114 75mm RCL at 4 men

one MG unit formation of either
unit 267 7.5mm AAT52 MG at 3 men or
unit 269 12.7 HMG at 4 men

The math (and experimentation) shows that unit 269 cannot be carried in any configuration. The minimal load of Lt Mech (5 men) plus bazooka (2 men) gives 7 passengers total of the 10 seats in the AMX leaving the 4 .50 cal boys to slog along on foot (Au Pieds Colis being the only APC left for them).

I noticed this a while back I think playing slightly later date. Did not have a problem with there are several formations set up like this, think Canada is another.
Seems fine to me if some APCs can only carry a restricted choice so long as at least one can manage the more varied choice.
If the APC could not carry one of the troop selections available then I would say its a problem.
This is just a buying choice basic APC & RCL or HMG or AMX cannon APC with baz & MMG.
If remember Canadian & there are others just cant remember is the same sort of set up. Basic APC & nice toys for troops or average troops & high end APC.

I suspect it's a formation issue and at a different date a larger APC or smaller HMG unit are available.

As it stands, for formation 177 in 1960, there is no possible combination of leg units that will fit in the available APCs.

Silly me thinking more modern with APC.
Most likely you are correct other APCs will come along later but from what you posted platoon fits no problem.
4 APCs carry 10
3 With squad 10?
1 With Light Squad 5
Baz 2
MMG 3
Thats 10 to what you cant do is have the HMG or RCL till a larger APC comes along & then probably only one or the other.

Never bothered to report these as thouht acceptable but I suppose you are correct & a diffrent formation could be made to cover that date.

For colonial troop use this one :

Note*
Section = Platoon IG
Groupe de combat = Section IG
PM (Pistolet Mitrailleur)= SMG
FSA (Fusil Semi Automatique) = Rifle
FLG (Fusil Lance Grenade) = Rifle Grenade
FM (Fusil Mitrailleur) = LMG
PA (Pistolet Automatique)= Pistol (Officer or AT secondary weapon)

The "Pieds Noirs" is the nick name of european people who are living in North Africa.

If you're going to post revised OOB's it's always a good idea to publish the list of changes made and not just leave it for people to try to figure it out for themselves otherwise, for the most part, people just ignore them
