Bloodless mod
This custom mod is written for the game of similar name. Main motivation was to decrease micromanagement in the game.
Burnsaber's DBS and Zeldor's Banned Spells Mod are included.
Features:
1. Blood magic, blood items and blood sites (except Arena and Academy of War) are removed.
2. Some spells (AN, AC, UD, Forge and Tartarian Gate) were removed.
3. No gem generators.
4. Burnsaber's DBS mod with most bonus sites removed is included.
Commanders with blood magic path are left unchanged, however. Capital blood sites were not removed either. You can still wish for items and monsters, but the only uses for blood left are to empower scouts/priests to B1 to get cheap researchers or some undead leadership.

Re: Bloodless mod
certain nations could still blood sacrifice, but you would probably have to be certifiably insane to take one of them when using this mod

Re: Bloodless mod
I don't get it. Why not just choose to not micromanage?

Re: Bloodless mod
this gives me an idea, i've never tried a negative douse bonus, if they work, perhaps a negative douse bonus + giving auto slave gen to units with blood magic could cut down on mm, though it'd rather change the way blood works.

When I first considered starting such a game, I thought about only declared game rules. Then I decided that writing a mod would be the best solution to forestall any accusations of cheating later.

Re: Bloodless mod
Oh I see, it's for a particular mp game. That does make sense then - if people agree they don't like micro you still have to 'ban' it or mod it out, because otherwise someone might feel tempted to use it, even though they don't like it. As is the norm for dom3 actually.

Blood nations get nothing as compensation. That's one reason why the game is run in MA, more thematic with only 4(+2) blood nations (Van, Jotun, Abysia, Pan+Mictlan, BL) available, and Pan+Van is IMHO still viable without the blood.
