I'm still actively developing
DMG and have been testing it by pushing some of the limits.
I am currently able to produce a mod that contains the 70 original nations and 20 mod nations with all the image files needed to play the mod nations. It occurred to me that this would be an easy way for people to try out some of the mod nations and/or play them together. My selection of mod nations is fairly subjective/random and I would be happy to include/remove nations upon request. The mod is only five sprites short of the limit so no more mod nations can be added, unless they just reuse sprites.
Included are Ogre Kingdom, Agra Dis, Urdheim, Machaka Spider Cult, Ulm Reborn, Skavenblight, Nehekhara, Haida Gwaii, Alugra, Padmassa, The Hoburg Alliance, Carthacia, Sanguinia, Sylvania, Kharam Dzu, Blood Elves, Fallen Empire, Vaettiheim, Stygia, Theran
It is arbitrarily set in the Late Era.
I would be happy to fix/maintain/modify this mod in response to interest and suggestions.
Known bugs:
It is safe to assume that there are unknown bugs. DMG modifies some 3000 lines of the the various added mods, and is probably missing some that should be changed.
The mods themselves have bugs, mostly capitalization mismatches in sprite file names. I did quick fixes on a bunch but gave up after a bit. grep for Bad in the .dm to see these errors. Some mods do things that produce odd results in other mods such as increasing [unthematic] Pretender choices.
nametype modding isn't supported. Since there are only two custom nametype tables available and many mods use at least one I didn't do anything.
Due to laziness, I have not credited the authors of the mod nations anywhere which is probably not OK and I may be violating other terms of distribution that I don't know about. RSN.
Updates: March 8 fixed various summons to actually summon the correct monster.
March 9 fixed alt shapes.
