I choose Budweiser.

If you can get hold of some, then the Mark XXX depth charge is definately on-topic.
From http://www.cambridge-camra.org.uk/2004/cbf-beers.html

XXX Depth Charge (4.4%) - FESTIVAL SPECIAL
This name was used on official paperwork when beer was flown out to the D Day troops under the wings of Spitfires. This will be a refreshing golden bitter with a crisp citrus aroma.

Also, Shepherd Neame "Spitfire" can be found bottled in some UK supermarkets ( http://www.spitfireale.co.uk/spitfire_ale.htm) - and is rather good too. Not sure if it is a descendant of the contents of the Mk XXX though!.
cheers
Andy

Re: Beer
The supply sergeant for the Kampfguppe has been very good about ensuring a steady supply of Bitburger and Warsteiner. And, the captured Imperial Russian Stouts (Stone Brewery or North Coast Brewery) have been much appreciated, too. The schnapps he comes up with, though, is rumored to actually be V-2 rocket fuel diverted from Peenemuende.

Would that be the real Budweiser or the american derivative which is generally considered to be like making love in a cano (F***ing close to water)?
If the first, may I propos pilsner Urquell instead? It's similar to the original budweiser, but IMO even a bit better.

Re: Beer
Any good India Pale Ale will do nicely IMO. I generally like German beers as well, but will never ever drink one while playing this game

Re: Beer
Yellowstone Brewery has a Imperial Russian Stout that I refuse to drink while playing, thought thats about the only time I refuse to drink
Other favorites are Guiness, Shiner Dunkenwiesen, Fat Tire, and Red Hooks IPA (Longhammer???)

Does the affects of alcohol start to make you feel substandard to the AI skills? It does with me Since I can barley beat the robot sober think what a challenge I have after a few brewskies Best reason not to drink even if I do sometimes anyhow.

Either that or his preferred liquor base.
