Default The deadliest weapons combination

Anyone realised that a combination of religious talisman + computer virus + large mount allegiance subverter will practically beat everything else, especially if you start the game with max tech?

By the way, does the ship attack/defense racial bonus affect the damage done by a weapon?

That's also a 3000 point cost strategy. Granted, you get other benifits, but still..

Besides, there's a counter. Small ships, and lots of them.

i tried that in the first furball game. i even took temporal to get high yield spaceyards, because i knew i could minimize research, intel, trade, ground attack, and attack bonus.

I had my *** handed to me by large mount WMGs that dusted my ships before they came into range.

religious is a nice combo with any high damage long range weapon, be it WMG, Tac Cannon, or Psi Singularity. a nice one-two combo would be a shield killer and a high damage weapon, say a temporal shield frier and a psychic singularity.

Puke's Cheezey scifi gun. cannot remember the stats but it was the best weapon ever and as an extra event it knocked people off their seats laughing.

Weapons combo.

Base with the massive base mount.

Sheild depleaters , Acid globes ( the advanced ones) and repulsor weapon.

Does alot of damage at a great range as well.

ah yes, the sci-fi canon, as opposed to the sci-fi cannon. I actually have it built into the PCMod. if you happen to take every single racial technology, research them to maximum, research Applied Science Fiction Lore for a couple million research points, and invest roughly ten years to build one, you too can fire it. put it on a planetary core mount, and stand back. (I wonder if that would generate an error, it came close with the standard damage values I gave it)

im not too worried about it upsetting game ballance, because anyone who wastes their points taking all those advanced racial traits and invests the time to construct one, is going to have their clock cleaned with drain-o.

I wish too fall of my chair laughing again.

It even outdid the death ray gun on Voyager.

Tuvok keeping a straight face was quite funny
