Generated campaign bug/oddity?

Hi,

After my Italian vacation I was playing a generated campaign with a reinforced Alpini company vs USSR. It's all fine and dandy, (save for my scouts dying too often ), but what bugs me is that every next battle is a meeting engagement, despite numerous reloads. I'll finish the current battle and upload a save on last turn.
