Foolish questions on earning experience
All,
Had trouble finding references to experience in the manual. Thought this crowd might know the answers straight away.
How is experience accrued?
Per battle, per kill, per research points contributed, per year of life?
Is the max level 5 minor stars and one heroic ability?
What are all the heroic abilities?
Regards,
-SSJ

Re: Foolish questions on earning experience
Experience is accrued slowly simply by existing.
Experience is given for entering battle.
Experience is given for killing.
Experience is given for dying. (I kid you not... apparently it's quite an experience)
5 stars and one heroic ability is the max.
As for all the abilities, discovery is part of the fun. (To be honest, there are many and it's hard to remember all of them)
But a not so comprehensive list includes:
Heroic Quickness
Heroic Precision
Heroic Strength
Heroic Agility
Heroic Toughness
Heroic Endurance
Heroic Stupidity
Unequaled Obesity
Iron Will
Valor
Lightning Reflexes
Heroic Battle Prowess
Third Eye
Battle Bellow
Legendary Cruelty
Awesome Presence
Edit:
Oh and this might be useful

Amazing, Saulot. Methinks you spend way too much time with this game. But thanks anyway

Re: Foolish questions on earning experience
It should also be noted that units gain experience if they kill enemy units and even for hitting them in combat. That's on top of the experience you get from participating in battle and you also get a point or two extra if you win.
There was a fairly comprehensive explanation somewhere around here from either JK, KO or JO.

Re: Foolish questions on earning experience
You get 1 xp for participating in a battle and 4 for winning and I think 1 xp pro turn.
In multi player I once made a deal with another player to keep attacking each other mages with scouts set to retreat. This way they all produced +1 research after some turns
