Vastness
Got my first vastness. How would you deck him out? Gift of reason and then what? I am strong in fire, water, earth, and astral.

Re: Vastness
So if your bless works well, just make him prophet at first opportunity and have at it. Map move of 10 means the enemy has no idea where he'll pop up next, and if they do get through to take a swing at him, there's this little thing called Blood Vengeance. Fun. Have someone tote a Banner of the Northern Star into the field and go to town with Soul Slay/ Enslave Mind/ Doom...

Re: Vastness
Eat up the enemy's back provinces, hammer his income and gems. Use the mobility and terrorize him. It will weaken the front lines and you don't need to worry about boosting him.

Dont they have 2 misc? If so a ring of regen and an amulet of anti-magic would be nice.

Re: Vastness
No slots at all. Vastness is the only unit in the game to have no slots at all.

Re: Vastness
Vastnesses are pretty good. There's really not much point in attacking with them, as they have a rather lame weapon (steal strength?). Is there a decent low fatigue astral offensive to spam at S3?

Capabilities
Steal Strength + 4x mind blast (10 shots each) + Astral 3 (GoR'd)
Note that GoR can make them easier to kill, because of dueling.
They're not the strongest fighting solo, but they're reasonable in a front line for drawing fire from (and killing, via blood vengeance) enemies. Pref. combined with Magic scale, not Drain.

Re: Capabilities
Too bad there's no magic item, like say a bag of holding, that would add a misc slot to whatever it's applied to-including a Vastness.

Re: Capabilities
That would be a bubble of holding.
