that with your help, and a well written mod manual, a computer dunce like myself was able to produce a working mod.

While it may never be used by anyone, Beowulf could someday be incorporated into Worthy heroes II mod, that allows every nation a starting national hero, in addition to the 4 it can get throughout the game.

As soon as i figure out how to zip it up and post it I will.

But it works fine. I did follow Endoperez' advice and was able to get his name to be Beowulf every time. And I did make a new weapon that he equipped!

One minor thing, the weapon I created, the Chain of No Tomorrow, does not match the Lord of War's graphic with his sword.

So, if anyone knows of a tough looking human warrior(he is not mounted) wielding a chain or a ball and chain, let me know.

#reinvigoration does not work btw, but I am sure that is a known thing. In the end, since his armor did not get any magical effects, i added reinvigoration 4 and regen 10. The regen worked, the reinvigoration did not.

I actually just changed the name from chain to sword. Easiest solution. heh.
