Orders
What is the role of Fleet Orders? Do fleet Orders over ride Task Force Orders? I posted this on the Space Empire Uninveres as well, so far not hits.

Looks like I'm not the only one in the dark regarding my question.

Re: Orders
As long as your ships are in formation, fleet orders override ship orders. If you tell the ships to 'break formation' they revert to their individual design strategies.

Re: Orders
Yeah, it's true for task forces... but fleets?
IIRC the fleet beak up in separate task forces as soon as the combat starts... or maybe I just didn't use a Break Formation Immediately => FALSE Strategy for the fleet?

Re: Orders
I had my first couple of engagements last night with a couple of ships of mine vs. single opponents (later a swarm of fighters) and I couldn't find the "Break Formation" during combat, in the combat screen icons. Am I looking in the wrong place?
This cause one ship to "follow" the leader and of course he would always stray into firing range of the enemy ship(s). In addition, there is no "visual" to show us what a formation actually looks like as in SE4. Is this something we're waiting on with a future patch?

Re: Orders
I still haven't found where I can "break formation" during a tactical action.

Re: Orders
- Visuals are in the game help.
- Break formation should be under the "fleet orders" button, or something like that IIRC...
