Default Create a starting empire

I am looking to start a game in a little while based in Faerun ( a large map ) with each player getting a good number of starting provinces, each with a number of special provinces, much like the Wars of Orania map from Dominions2 ( http://www.illwinter.com/dom2/oraniane_1_0.zip ) . I'm considering early age.

I have a few ideas on what kind of starting provinces to give people but I want some input from players at large as to what kind of provinces they would like to start with for each empire.

So let's hear it, given that you have 5 starting provinces+ you captial what kind of provinces would you like for each nation?

An example Ermor in Wars of Orania gets:

#knownfeature "The Crypt Underneath"
#knownfeature "Statue of Death"
#knownfeature "Banefire Forge"
#knownfeature "The Bowl of the Lost"
#knownfeature "The Shaded Lands"
#knownfeature "Temple of Darkness"
#knownfeature "Crown of Darkness"
#knownfeature "Skull Temple"
#knownfeature "Tower of Seven Tombs"
#knownfeature "Unholy Temple"
#commander "Ermorian Cultist"
#knownfeature "Unholy Temple"
#commander "Ermorian Cultist"

spread across 5 provines ( including home provice ).

Now I could use the settings from War of Orania but there have been some changes in Dom3 and I would like some input as to what people think should be changed.

If you want to make a scenario for the faerun map, you can use my map/scenarion online editor at http://dominions.realites.org/map_editor/

The editor is still in beta and some features are still missing (you cannot yet set starting provinces for exemple, but if you have some already set in your map file the editor won't mess with them), but you can use it to add magic sites and commanders, as well as terrain_types if you want to add more feeling to some provinces.

Whatever you do, when your scenario is done I will gladly add it to my editor and host it if you want.

I'd rather that the Faerun maps remain my territory, Jack. Especially since I inted to produce a Faerun 283 map for Dominions 3 and possibly also a larger one, either the 424 or a new large Faerun map. I'd much rather that the older Dom2 versions died a quick, quiet death because they are rather obsolete. Let's not give them any more new leases on life than we have to.

Now, AFTER I've done the new map(s), if somebody want to do scenarios on them, that's a different matter and open for discussion. But in the meanwhile, I would appreciate patience.

No problem Edi.

I put the dom2 version to test how the editor would work for large maps, and if a new version is coming this one will have to go.

I will remove the old version from the editor when I'm back home.
