Need help!!!
Thanks for reading this thread. The problem is that i bought this amazing game in a store, in the semi-new shelf. The CD was perfect but they sold it to me without the manual and cant hardly play. Even if it told me that there was a complete tutorial i cannot use it without the manual. please help me!. Is there any web with a tutorial or the basic guide lines? I find this game awesome and i'd regret if i had to give it back!! Thanks in advance

Re: Need help!!!
If you have no manual then the best advice I can give is go onto the dominions mIRC channel (#dominions), there are almost always people there so some-one should be able to guide you through a game or atleast offer some advice.

Re: Need help!!!
Thanks but the problem is I haven't played the previous games and I am not too good at turn based games so it would take too long to explain all... but thanks for the advice

Re: Need help!!!
The only way for you to get the manual is to order the game from shrapnel. Or plan on doing alot of reading of these forums.
Since the CD is not needed to play the game, then I suspect the person kept the manual because they didnt delete the game when they sold it. So I would seriously doubt that any serial code is any good even if you got one with the CD. Buying a copy from Shrapnel is probably the best idea.

How is this possible? Dom3 isnt sold in stores as far as I know? Only through a couple of online vendors. And even if it were possible that you did buy it through a store, how did you install it? The first thing the game does is asks you for the CD-key, which is printed on the inside of your manual. This implies then, that you obtained your CD-key through some other means. Which would be bad....

Yeah, Ironhawk has found the flaw in the story.

Re: Need help!!!
I have to be diplomatic.
And its possible that they copied the serial to the CD cover before selling it.

Re: Need help!!!
If you really bought a "semi-new" copy of Dom3 without manual and with the CD key on a post-it, you should ask for a refund and buy at least a complete used one (on ebay), or better a plain new one at Shrapnel's !
Else you just have pirated the game, and then asking for help here is really a provocation...

Re: Need help!!!
eeeeeyyyyy!!!! Stop with those accusations.
"How is this possible? Dom3 isnt sold in stores as far as I know? Only through a couple of online vendors"
I already said it, i bought a previously own one, wich means that someone bought it and exchanged it in my videogame store!!!
"The first thing the game does is asks you for the CD-key, which is printed on the inside of your manual. This implies then, that you obtained your CD-key through some other means."
The cd- key was written in a stick on the backside of the cd (and if you have bought any other "cd-key needed game" it is usual to find the key on a sticker at the back of the manual or the box, like in codename panzer for example), an it wasn't handwrite.
"you should ask for a refund"
i already tried, but i bought it knowing that there was no manual, and the game works, so theres no refund possible (I can exchange it for another game but I will lose half of the money)
"or better a plain new one at Shrapnel's !"
The only problem is that I dont wan't to pay 2 times for the same game!!!
Thanks for your help and BUUUUUUUH!! for the accusations (I have to admit that it is possible to find it suspicious... but i'm not guilty!!!)
Is there any post which lists the main differences between DOM2 and DOM3??? Thanks in advance

Re: Need help!!!
I just knew I wasn't the only one around here with a suspicious mind
Agramenauer:
The main difference between Dom2 and Dom3 is that Dom3 comes with a big shiny beautiful 300 page manual with really cool pictures of monsters inside. Sadly, I lost my manual-and I'm very upset about it-but in an effort to combat piracy and protect Illwinter, I'm dead against digital copies. I feel your pain, Agramenauer, truly I do. But we must suffer together so that Illwinter can continue on. Yes, it may cost us money earned from the very sweat of our brows, but in the end it's worth it to have the game, complete and whole, to treasure forever, and play every day. Though manual-less, we are manual-less together, my brother (or sister). You are not alone! We fight the good fight! For honor! For Illwinter! YAAAH!
