Default MP problems

I might be a tad stupid. It's getting late here, and been playing Dom3 in MP for 5+ hours straight with a friend. We set up a network game over the internet with ip and ports. So far so good, played and had fun for 5 hours.

Now we closed the game and wanted to continue later this week. Only to find out that we cannot find a way for the server to start up an old game over network. I can play my turn fine like if it were singleplayer from the autosave, so PBEM should work. But is there a way to continue an old server based game from an old save? (Is it possible to save it manually?)

I can't find it in the manual, and we played most of our Dom2 MP games over PBEM anyway. So the problem is new to me

Set up a server, and when it asks you to name the game type in the existing game you want to continue.
