Unit list
Howdy all.
Is there a unit list available for download somewhere? Or have I somehow missed it in the manual or on the disc?

Re: Unit list
There certainly is an excellent excel spreadsheet that Sunray has put together for Dom3 on his website at:

Re: Unit list
Hi,
Sunray made a really good job here, I've helped him a bit but he did 80%+ of the work !
If someone ever see an error or missing thing you can pm me and we'll correct/add it(Sunray doesn't come here as often as me )
Thanks and all praise Sunray !

Re: Unit list
Perfect! Thanks for all those that contributed to this list.
Just out of curiousity, if you need to know both spells and units to create effective strategies, and the manual gives you just spells, how do newcomers cope? Guesswork and trial and error?
It just seems like crucial information, and yet there's no official source.

Re: Unit list
Anyone that played Dom2 learned through trial and error, but most of that info is still useful. For people new to Dom3, I would assume it's still trial and error. At least for me though, when I learned I really enjoyed experimenting with some of the stranger and more off-the-wall summons. Like Crossbreading.

Re: Unit list
I am not entirely new, but I still consider myself a novice. I would say that, while pretender design and planning away from the computer is a little harder, having spells and items is more important (especially items, as you need the paths to see the item, and you're not sure if a certain boost will or will not give access to a new item, let alone a useful one).

Re: Unit list
Perhaps a wishlist item?
Forging should be shown the same as rituals.
All items for which the forger has the paths should be shown, with those for which his paths are too low greyed out.

To be fair, there *is* an "official source" for the units: the game itself. What I mean is that all nations' units are documented in the game and can be accessed simply with right-click. It is, of course, not the most convenient thing when you are playing Ermor and want to know what a Kailasan unit's stats are before attacking, but you can always look these things up. The spells, on the other hand, often do not have exact descriptions anywhere in the game, and thus it was felt that the most appropriate place for this information was the manual. While we would like to have had a full listing of all nations' unit stats, given the fact that the manual is already 300 pages, the space limitations precluded it. But Sunray has done a fantastic job of compiling data, since long before Dom3 came out. Great job!
