Drones attacking at the same time?
In the standard game, I don't see much use in drones.
- Expensive
- Fly head long into their target
- Putting Direct Fire weapons on them is pointless as they may fire and then ram the target
- Can't fleet them together
- Can't recover them
Inspite of all this, the standard AI uses them with a passion. It is generally their indicator that they're loosing. As they just lob them off without any care. Anyhow, when the AI uses them, I can get attacked by several drones at a time. When I use them, I can't seem to have that happen.
Is it possible?

Re: Drones attacking at the same time?
While you cant fleet drones you can multi-select the by holding shift and clicking the drones you want to move together. Then order them while selected to where ever and they should move together. Also the direct fire then ram issue you experience is likely because the drones strategy is still set to ram.

Re: Drones attacking at the same time?
They do have the best warheads in terms of damage/kT and damage/cost available short of mines, though...

Re: Drones attacking at the same time?
Drones will always go thru a warp point one-at-a-time though. Major nerfing going on there...

I did see drones warp as a group, if this was within the next turn.

Re: Drones attacking at the same time?
Slick do you mean during the automove phase they move one at a time?
I'd imagine that the move during one's turn is all at once.

Re: Drones attacking at the same time?
Drones always warp through warp points one at a time, so even IF you have, say, 200 drones with the warp order, they're going to go through there one at a friggin time. >.<
