Proportions to play the AI
Which version of proportions would be better to play the AI?
Right now I'm using the one in the deluxe SE4, and it sucks, because the AI lacks all the files to research and design ships with all the new techs that were added. The AI is not even building fighters, or carriers, and all the designs use either DUCs or Ripper Beams.
But I remember a couple of years ago playing a version of proportions in which the AI was playing very well.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.

Thanks, I really apreciate it.
It looks like 253 was the latest version, so I will try that one.

Re: Proportions to play the AI
I tried 253.1, and all the cultural buildings are in innaccesible tech. What happened?

Re: Proportions to play the AI
Nevermind about 253.1
I got it to work.
For some reason it was loading the original game instead of the mod, but now is working.
Question is, is this the one with the better AI?
Too early to say, but it seems to be the one I was playing before, which was working fine.

Re: Proportions to play the AI
AIC is based on Proportions, and seriously boosts the AI in a variety of ways. The latest version is 4.X if memory serves, and there should be a thread around here. You might have to go on another site to find the actual mod files, though. AIC was probably the mod you used, and I seem to recall something to that effect (I could be confusing you with someone else, though).
I wouldn't really recommend playing Proportions 2.X now: I find Proportions 3.X to be a lot better in multiplayer, and AIC should provide with a more interesting challenge against the AI.

Re: Proportions to play the AI
Yes, use 2.5.3, or AIC mod, to play Proportions against the AI.

Re: Proportions to play the AI
On a related note...I'm looking for someone to take over my empire in Proportions #1 game (the Daitoon). It's in a good position, well developed, at peace with all it's neighbors (who are fighting each other), and the game is well along, turn 300+ or so...I just need to cut down on my gaming obligations....Any takers?
Thanks,
Alarik
