Default Problems connecting to Lobby? (click here to read)

We've had a few customers report problems connecting to the online lobby for Land of Legends.

One of these customers was able to connect after disconnecting his firewall and internet-security software.

We don't yet know *why* these programs are interfering, and Land of Legends is certainly safe and secure to play online.

But if you're having problems connecting, we recommend that you try disabling any aggressive internet security software or firewalls to see if that helps you connect. (Be sure to re-enable that software when you're done playing LOL.)

If you still have problems connecting, please email us at [email protected], and we'll work with you to figure out the problem.

Thanks.

i have the demo version, and i cannot connect to the lobby unless i completely disable my firewall, which isnt a good idea IMHO.
allowing LOL access to my computer (by telling the firewall not ro interfere) isnt enough unfortunately.
weird.
im thinking about purchasing the game, but i first need to know whether i will be able to play online ...

Well, good news and bad news.

The bad news is, of course, that you're having the problem, and this is the first time we've had this specific problem reported.

The good news is that you should be able to open the following two ports to make things work: 1337 and 21337. Those are the only two ports we use.

If that doesn't work, there's always the worst-case scenario of disabling your firewall on the occassions you want to play online, and then re-enabling it when you're done to make sure you remain protected. I agree that shouldn't be necessary, but it sounds like it would be a functioning workaround.

May I ask what firewall software you're using? Am I correct in assuming other games don't have this problem on your machine?

Hopefully that port trick will work, and if not, hopefully we can still get you squared away.
