Arcane Nexus+ Spell bonus- a simple question

This should be somewhere on the forum, but I can't find it.
I have Arcane Nexus up, and i also have the ultiate gateway (50% conjuration bonus). I cast a flurry of tartarian gates.

The gate costs 25/2=13 gems.
How many will the nexus give back? Nexus percentage*25 or NP*13?

If it is the latter, might one get more gems out of the spell than it costs? And the spell's affects? Doesn't bear thinking about.

iirc, for every 4 gems you actually spend (not the nominal cost), you'll get back one astral.

I thought it was 1/8th, not 1/4th.

ehh it converts the gems used to astral at a 2 for 1 basis, and then returns whatever ratio is mentioned in the spell description, I forget what exactly, but if it says "one quarter" then it would end up being 1/8th...

Thanks. That is unfortunate though, since i cant get 6 gem abominations. Oh well.
