Darn AI!
The thread below got me thinking, of those times when the Game code has thrown up some oddities that can only be explained by Idiot troopers on your side of the battle.
I'm sure it could be funny to relate some of the stories.
My best one was during a Veitnam game, when a Pilot in an A-1 skyraider Dove onto the table and strafed the Evil Veitcong UH-1 helicopter's .
To add insult to injury, he did it again on his next pass.

Re: Darn AI!
David,
One of the most important matters in this battle was to coordinate the presence and activity of the support assets.
The helicopters, 105 artillery and close air support were guided in their attack missions in such a way that they wouldn't interfere, one with the other.
Also, probably your helicopter was flying in low altitude.
Anyway, here is the premier of that battle in order to demonstrate the good performance of my pilots...

Re: Darn AI!
heh, it wasn't in this project, it was a few months back, maybe even the DOS game.
But it was still funny.
And you seem to have been over run, didn't you use your ARA to plug the gap?

Re: Darn AI!
Too right they are.
One quick attack run and that's one less NVA troop to worry about. 5 turns latter, they're back.

Re: Darn AI!
I had one wipe out two full squads in one turn of firing. Now that is some firepower.
Use the containers for reload for a quicker roundtrip!

Re: Darn AI!
Two containers should be enough to keep them supplied long enough till the other containers arrive. There won't be room for the ARA's though... which is the point really. There weren't reloads on site for them so this is probably better.
On the reverse, ARA's are good at mortar hunting themselves!
