Eh, I think the monsters need balancing. The "Berserker" and "Bloodthirsty" happiness types mean that one major setback can drop their happiness in the toilet, making it harder to rebuild the fleet you absolutely need since the only significant way of reducing your population's anger is winning fights.
Also, are the crossover tech armors supposed to be much larger for their damage resistance than the normal armors?
EDIT: Also, the Pirate Corvette hull says it has a 750% maintence reduction.
EDIT EDIT: I also expect to see everybody simply putting self-destruct devices on their designs so that the pirates can't get them. And the mosnter Immune System appears to no longer provide acutal boarding defense, meaning that one level 1 boarding party could destroy any monster.
