Default Weird battle replay bug in YS2

In the latest turn for Yarnspinners 2, Quantum and I had a minorly epic battle, with a dozen commanders (mostly mages) on each side and over 50 good troops each. According to the messages and survivors, Quantum (regrettably) won resoundingly, killing most of my commanders and troops while most of his survived.

However... the battle replay tells a different story. One of his three arch theurgs died early on in a failed magic duel attempt, and after some slogging Pythium retreated with scarsely a troop left on the field, while I maintained a respectable presence to the last, including many of my commanders, who were, in actual fact, dead.

Here's the weird thing. The game was being hosted with v2.16, and even our host (Tauren) saw the same erroneous battle. And he was using the exact same version of Dominions that was used to create the turn.

We all have the same versions of the mods (Spells 1.8, Scales 1.2, Pretenders 2.01, plus the special Yarnspinners mod). So what's up with the battle replay? I can't write the heroic story of my heroes' demise if I don't know how they died...*

*Well, okay, I can just make stuff up, as usual. But still.
