Default Artillery reinforcement (bug or feature?)

While playing the Scenario 'Come to Papa Bear' I encountered a bug/feature? regarding Artillery as reinforcements.

At the beginning of the game the US side is bombarded by a couple of 122mm sections. Surprisingly one of the 155mm sections (set as reinforcements by turn 4) fired counter battery and both sections became immediately available.

I have a save game in Don or Andy are interested.

Regards,

Lars

I'll have a look into this. Scenario number would be useful (esp if this is a third-party scenario etc).

Cheers
Andy

Artillery set as reinforcements CAN fire C/B. This was a deliberate design from SPWW2 days. These batteries can be used for Corps or whatever C/B assets, without the player being able to misuse them as they are "owned" by the 5 star general, and not the LTC player. Scenario designer can opt to make them never appear, or to appear later on, to represent the 5 star general releasing higher level arty.

As to the reinforcement - I have tested this, and after firing C/B fires the batteries do not become available to the player, they will wait until the correct release turn.

Cheers
Andy
