Specifically the planet and star graphic files, will they be compatable with SEIV? Or will I need to start over in modding all of them? And the alien portraits and ship portraits? Same question.. Will I need to buy 3Dmax or something to do shipsets? and alien portraits? I know this is a SEIV forum but there is no SEV forum...yet...just curious if any of the Moderators or otherwise any of the insider folks can say anything about this. I read the Aaron Hall chats I did'nt see anything on this or I missed it. One Last question just to cover my curiosity, does Aaron work a day job and program SEV in his spare time or has MM become a full time 'dream job'.
Re: Does anyone know what type graphic used in SEV
The specs have not been released for any SE V graphics. It's pretty clear that ships will be .x files but the exact details are not yet available. There will reportedly be an option to use 2D 'flat' portraits instead of the 3D models and he obviously has an interest in keeping SE IV compatibility. We'll just have to wait for the official announcements.
