Hello to all:
After sometime being a little far from this marvellous game, because of work and study reasons, I'm feeling the SE4 bug again now that I have more free time...
The question which appeared in my head was:
Given that I have, more or like all other SE4 players, made my "personal" mod to this game (based in Proportions, but borrowing lots of ideas from others and adding some from my crop),the result is that the AI (computer) players lost all direction in their actions... Its empires don't expand, fleets go around aimlessly till all supplies are exhausted, etc...all in all not a very challenging game...
The question is: can I take the files from a mod where the AI is a strong challenger and then, by way of making two racial traits (one for AI players, other for humans) make the base mod comps available to the AI players and then add all the other comps, etc... making them available only to humans. Will this concept work? I hope anyone can understand this idea, like making two parallel mods coexisting in one game. Will the AI colonize using their own colonizing components?
Anyone can make some suggestions?
I know this will be a lot of work to implement, but as I can't mod AI, I think this is the only way I can enjoy this game, using the ideas I like!
I wish all of you have had a Merry Christmas and will have a prosperous new year!!!
Cheers!
