Re: Holy Flachulants of Flaggellenting!
Big Flaming head. 9/9 fire astral.
Could even use it in MP if you were brave.
The Flaggs still die fast, but become quite cost effective for decisively mobbing in large battles.

Re: Holy Flachulants of Flaggellenting!
flags are build for fire 9 thats it! Offcause there is other options aswell, but if fire shines anywhere its on the flags.
it has been discussed a few times try search the forum.
but it comes down to that flails has 2 attacks, and that the fire attack is good against hard to hit units , either high protektion or ethereals.
to keep the flags alive mix in some heavy inf in the front line.
and leave your archers home (or get some lightning blessing aswell)

Re: Holy Flachulants of Flaggellenting!
Water 9 gives a sweet quickness effect (plus a defense boost.) I think the quickness means Flags get 4 attacks instead of 2. Plus, all Maignon's mages/priests are sacred, so they also benefit from the quickness.
Air 4-9 blessing is pretty good for Marignon too if you go for crossbows, as it drastically reduces the friendly fire effect.
In my recent Marignon game, I used massed blessed Flags up front center, masses of crossbows, and a few blessed Paladins/Knights of the Chalice on the flanks. Once I had the gem income, these were supplemented with summons. I didn't use any of the other Marignon combat units at all - resources were too scarce for me to spend 20+ res on a pikeneer when I could get 4 flags for the same res cost (or use that 20+ res towards a KotC).

The water 9 blessing effect is 50% quickness, so they act twice every other turn. Water is also a very expensive blessing to get, as there are few good water magic based pretenders.

Holy Flachulants of Flaggellenting!
Well, dinking 'round with Marignon still, and I am approaching the board with another debate!
How to Bless Flaggellents:
Right now, I'm testing a 4fire/4air bless, and its workin okay on a Moloch Pretender. I've tried a 9fire with Moloch to ho-hum results. What are some other good combos for shipping those crazy little fruit bats to their death in the most destructive way possible?

Re: Holy Flachulants of Flaggellenting!
How about fire 9 and death 9, then your masses of flags would be twice as effective?
Or does 'life after death' simply raise un-blessed, unarmored soulless armed only with their fists?

yah, life after death just creates some dreck. quite useless. Death 10 is better, though not worth it either, IMO.
