Is tehre a chance to fail assasinations attempt ?

1) Using Abysia somtimes happens to me to giva an assasination orders but it seems to have no effect ? Is that a bug ? Is there a chance that the attempt doesn't take place or simply it must be that there are non leaders in the province ?

2) make sense to make an assasination attempts in a province with no units but only national defence ? or killing the leader didn't destroy the defence force ?

I found the answer to all of these questions by giving "assassination" in the "search" function.

To make it quick:
1. If your Slayer failed to assassinate anyone in a province although you told him to, it means that there was NO (valid) COMMANDER for him to assassinate. In other words, there are just commanderless enemy troops hanging around there.

2. You cannot assassinate PD commanders. You can assassinate enemy recruited commanders or Indy commanders.

It means that only non-leaders are left. If you have an army nearby then set the guy to assassin again and have the army attack in the same turn. The assassination will come first and just make sure that the coast is still clear. There might be a "province defense" commander still there but it should mostly be clear.

You can also test it by attacking with a scout or some cheap commander. Most of the units there should rout for being leaderless
