Map overlays?
What kind of map overlays will there be in Dom2. For instance, will there be resource and supply overlays?

Re: Map overlays?
You can toggle on and off the following map filters:
Flags
Armies
Income
Dominion
Forts
Temples
Misc (which includes the "a battle happened here during the Last hosting" and so forth)
Neighbors (which shows you either how the selected commander can move or which provinces are connnected to the selected province)
Names (which is just the provincial names; the names of the commanders within the selected province are always visible in the sidebar commander box)
Unfortunately, there aren't any supply or resource overlays.

Re: Map overlays?
one other filter I'd like to see sometime is an unrest filter - so that you can switch it on and see in a glance which provinces need some extra patrolling.

Re: Map overlays?
You guys should wait to see what Dom II looks like first. It's not just a little upgraded Dom I interface with few more buttons, but completely remade interface that has massively reduced micromanagement. Those filters you ask for are COMPLETELY unnecessary. As for unrest, thats why F1 button is. You can see all the provinces with unrest, and tax rates (which you can change from that screen) among other things. Also you can see all the commanders in those provinces and give them orders from there. All one screen!
One other significant improvement over Dom I is the way you can give orders to your commanders. You just place pointer over commander and press e.g. shift+r to set him to research. You can practically give different orders to 28 commanders (thats how many can fit on one screen) in one province within 2-3 seconds.

It sounds really cool. It's hard to get a feel for the interface through just looking at screenshots, even though they do tell you something. What you're talking about with the F1 key seems to do what I was wanting a filter to do: show you all your provinces so you can see which ones need patrolling, etc.
