Gentlemen, my preview of SE4
After playing the SE4 demo it appears to me this could very well be the best galactic conquest game to date. I find it extremely detailed and a wealth of strategies are there to exploit. What I like about it follows:
Has to be the best ship design I have seen, second to none as far as I am concerned.
Very big galaxy with multiple systems to explore. The planets are actually interesting in the fact that some have special features such as ruin, etc
Finally we have moons orbiting some planets now as well which I find use for also, might I say. This is neat and the first time I have seen this in a game like this.
Graphics that are pretty and "clean cut" which fit perfect without losing any depth to the game.
Features that I have NOT seen in others like it such as the level of customization that we will be able to do in SE4! I think it is incredible!
Nice ships that actually look like starships instead of a alien creatures like they do in Stars Supernova. Another fine example of nice looking ships is the Original Stars! and Imperium Galactica II.
More, more, and 10x more goodies in this game then some of the others combined! So much depth and detail here it is almost(but not) overwhelming. This is a very good thing because it pushes galactic conquest to its limits and still manages to keep things easy to access and operate.
Asteriod fields, storms, nebular systems, etc. I can't think of anything else that could be added to this game that even remotely has something to do with space. Ideas anyone? Surely there is something that is not there that I can't think of?
At Last...Gentlemen this is a fine game and I really don't have anything to say bad about it so far. It reminds me of the original Stars! but just hands down better. Further more it is obvious that someone who loves these type of games is the main designer of SE4. That is what it takes to put out a fine game of galactic conquest that can actually be better then MoO2.

Not everyone here is a "gentleman". I know that the presumption is that "gamers" are all adolesent boys but there are more than just a few of us ladies out here that appreciate a good game.

August 2000? That's five and a half years ago, but it doesn't feel like that long ago.

Re: Gentlemen, my preview of SE4
Not doing badly styled necromancy and instead making interesting new threads?
