Default Help this Newbie!...quick question...

...ok...A "system" to me has always been a "Star System"...with many planets....however..in SEIV I find that a "system" is a single planet. So if I build a "Urban Pacification" structure on 1 planet...doest that mean it's good for 1 planet or the whole star system with all colonized planets within?. The manual and in-game instructions are not clear to me on this point. Please advise...gotta keep my fodder happy~~ thanks much.

No, a planet is a planet. A system is indeed the whole star system. A sector is one square in the system. Urban Pacification Centers affect all of your planets in the entire system.

A system is a star system. Not a planet. A system-wide facility (IE your Urban Pacification Centre) will affect the whole system.

Edit: Darn. 1 second slower than Fyron. Rats.

Ok same topic..but why does it say that when a "ship enters a system with a refuel depot it is automagically resupplied"...but I find I have to actually drop by the planet itself with the depot?

I don't know where you got that, but the word system in that phrase should be sector.

Hmmm... if it says that, then its one of the few "bugs" that are not in the executeable, but rather in the text description. The resupply depot facility only works on ships in the same sector.

Here's another obscure little tip. Say you have boarding parties, and you encounter a ship with the self destruct component, and you read the description "... overloads engines when boarded ...", and you knock out the engines, and you board confident that....

*Boom*

Bug? Or alien engineers outsmarting you with the text description?
