Regarding results, death by magic duel isn't treated differently from other deaths AFAIK. If you wanted it *gone* in one shot, you'd need to use something like Banish to Inferno or Claws of Cocyctus (sp?), although with a Chayot's stats it might not be too long before it breaks free.

However, Chayot which get Soul Slayed usually pick up a severe affliction like Feebleminded. The same will apply to losing a Magic Duel.
