Re:
Why don't you change the keyboard layout in windows itself?
For similar reasons, I have both my native German layout and the English layout installed. No need for external programs. Switching on the fly is also already supported by windows itself.

Re:
shift+" o doesn't work either.. nt like it does here...
i mean it does in normal programs but not dom3. Does the german language set work with a one keypress in dom3?
I'll tool around some, see if i can get my keyboard to do it with german.

Re:
feh, i don't think theres any way for me to do this without getting a new keyboard.
even with the german layout i need to press alt+p to get the
which doesn't work in dom3.
Let me apologize for being testy, I failed to mention that I am incredibly computer literate, and already know how to get the characters with alt+#s, copy and paste from charmap, and (now) using international keyboard...
but none of it works in Dom3. not even the shift"+o.
if anyone knows a way to remap the keyboard in winXP so that i can enter the character with one keystroke, then let me know - thats the only way I can imagine it working, and then, maybe it still won't.
update: I tried using AutoHotKey to map f12 to send , but in Dom3 it sends the alt number instead of the character.

The "" on the German layout should equal the ";" on the physical English keykoard. And I can confirm that it works, other layouts with special characters, like Swedish, also work.

Re:
You, sir, have a very strange computer.
Just tested: My Dom3 accepts any change in keyboard layout properly. Are you SURE that you have activated German layout? Try Dom3 in windowed mode, this way, you can look at the tray-icon that indicates the active layout. Remember, the layout MAY be different from one window to the next! (It only switches for the currently active window IIRC.)

Re:
There is an item in the bug report where some of the units in Dom3 that had characters like those in the name arent showing up correctly. I think there was a library correction which caused the european spellings which the devs like to not carry through. I dont know if that means it will stay this way for compatability reasons, or if it will be repaired back to the way it was.

Re:
Now you mentioned that.
when i have to output the name of the rgb file to a new map it doesnt get the _ character right and I have to press every key to find it
Lastly it was on shift+5 or shift+6 wich i dont know from what layout is because its not english and not spanish.
