Default 1987 Greece vs Turkey crisis

I just found this link, with a photo of some (allegedly) CIA document about the 1987 crisis.
Not much to go, but it is something.

I was still young in 1987 but I do remember that time. Interesting times with our allied neighbors. *sigh*

Well I was just around 4 y/o back then but I do remember being sent to Salonika while my dad stayed at the border. I always thing about these times had things gone really bad.

In general, the 80ies and most of 90ies is full of possibilities of a G-T cold war turned hot scenarios (and I always wanted to make a campaign and several scenarios for the game but I haven't found the time yet). Things became better afterwards, but unfortunately it seems we're heading towards that era once more.

Not the first or the last almost gone to war with Turkey. During the Imia crisis I was in the navy. That was interesting too.

I don't see this stopping any time soon, unless there are drastic changes over there.
