50cal HMG - M2A1 vs LW50

As with any currently in use weapon upgrade there is confusion as to what it happening when.

Some time back it seemed there would be a general migration from the venerable M2 50cal to the LW50. But it seems this may have been scrapped for an upgrade to the M2A1 (US Army starting 2012, USMC in 2016).

I suspect the game stats of the M2 and M2A1 will be identical so this shouldn't be much of an issue. However, who, if anyone, is actually using the LW50?

IIRC weren't the Pakistani and Saudi armies looking at using it?

Looks like Pakistan actually bought some, couldn't find anything else indicating confirmed sales.

There were a large number of FWS weapons and units put in pre windows versions of the US OOB that I've spent more time removing that I care to think about which is why I am not the least bit interested any longer in ANY weapon or unit until actual real troops get them in their grubbly little paws.... NO MORE EFVP's and LW50 for any nation so I am NOT interested in the latest rumour about the next wonder weapon

That weapon and the units using it no longer exist and adjustments have been made to other units to fill the gaps
