Beginner Scenarios

Hi,

just discovered this great game with so many scenarios! I've already tried the Viet Village scenario and now I'd like to ask you, is there a list with smaller, beginner-friendly, scenarios to start with? If no, which ones would you recommend to try next? Thank you very much in advance!

First off..... have you read through and played through the tutorial ?

....and have you tried any small map ( 30 x 30 is good ) company + sized generated battles to get a feel for the way the game works ?

winSPWW2 has a list of beginner friendly sceanrios but we never got around to making a similar list for MBT but I see you are posting on both forums and starting with WW2 level combat first working through that list would be a very good way to start

In addition to the tutorial scenario, many scenarios are appropriate for beginners. Here is a sample of relatively small and simple scenarios to get you started:

Welcome. I would start with the tutorial, the first scenario with particular attention to the game manual. Moreover, I urge you to get a copy of the pdf version of the game guide,so that you can keep a handy reference as you play.

As to"beginner-friendly" scenarios I am not aware of a scenario ranking by popularity or degree of difficulty, but that would be interesting to post a survey.

If you find someone to play with PBEM (play-by-email), that would be most beneficial.

Thank you very much for the quick replies. This is my gaming record so far:

In the spww2 game I played and won the tutorial scenario, the 001 Organized Chaos scenario and I got a draw in the 004 Graftrom's Raid scenario. Now I'm struggling through the 011 Gavrus scenario where I haven't figured out how to win yet.

In the winspmbt game I just played and won the Viet Village scenario. Where should I go next?

You should have started winSPMBT with the tutorial scenario. The WW2 tutorial deals with WW2 weapons..... the MBT deals with post WW2 weapons. After that , pick some short scenarios to start with. Use Scenhack to check the number of turns easier than by using the game directly. As I said we have never made a beginners list for MBT like we did WW2
