Yugoslav OOB 41 additional aircraft

I've been reading Jugoslovensko Ratno Vazduhoplovstvo 1942-1992 from military historian Bojan B. Dimitrijević: (Belgrade 2009) and I've noticed that Yugoslavia used more types of aircraft than the current OOB presents.

Thus, I would suggest you consider adding the following aircraft Yugoslavia (I only counted those of which a significant number were available). Most can already be found in other OOBs, so I've also listed where to find them:

In addition, UNIT 170 in this OOB (OOB 41, Soko Kraguj J-20) is no longer in service. It was officially withdrawn in 1989, though it was still used until 1994, so you may want to correct it's availability dare

The real question is how many of these were used for ground attack becasue in the game we are not interested in pure fighter aircraft

Good point. The problem is that Yugoslavia was not involved in any wars from 1946-91, so we really have no idea if the fighters would have been pressed into fulfilling a role they weren't designed for. That said, let me list what I know about the roles of the aircraft:

Bell 47G and Mil Mi-2 Hoplite: they're helos, obviously.

Ikarus S-49 and Republic P-47D Thunderbolt: fighter-bombers.

Lisunov Li-2 and Petlyakov Pe-2FT: bombers.

Mikoyan MiG-21PFM: fighters, but I can tell you from experience that MiG-21s were used for ground attack during the Yugoslav Wars 1991-95.

Soko G-2 Galeb: ground attack aircraft, and used as such during the Yugoslav Wars.

Yakovlev Yak-9: Yak-9s are usually considered fighters, but Yugoslavia used the TD variant, which could carry bombs.

Messerscmitt BF-109G, Spitfire MK V: fighters. Used as ground attack in Yugoslavia during World War 2, but I don't know if they would have been used as such in a hypothetical Cold War era conflict (such as a Soviet invasion after the Tito-Stalin split in 1948, or an escalation of the Trieste Crisis in the early 50s).

North American F-86 Sabre: fighter. However, the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965 proved it was certainly capable of ground attack. Would the Yugoslavs have used them as such I can't say.

Yakovlev Yak-3 Ubiytsa and Canadair CL-13 Sabre: from what I can tell, these were pure fighters - they can safely be left out.

Re: Yugoslav Sabre jets, per Joe Baugher's informative website, Yugoslavia received 122 F-86E(M). The F-86E(M) was a Canadair Sabre Mk4 built for the British RAF using American MDAP funds, as an interim swept-wing day fighter until the Hawker Hunter was ready. The RAF received 428 Mk4s in 1953, which they designated Sabre F.4; replaced by Hunters in 1956, the RAF "returned" 302 of them to the US 1956-58. The US redesignated them F-86E(Modified) and sold 180 of them to Italy, 122 to Yugoslavia 1958-59. Yugoslavia sold eight of them to Honduras in 1976, who used them into the 1990s.

The F-86E(M) had two hardpoints for drop tanks or a 1000lb/450kg bomb each, but since range without drop tanks was only 50 miles/80km, at least one tank was a required. Under each wing there were two zero-length stub launchers for HVARs; two HVARs could be hung in tandem from each launcher, for a maximum of eight rockets.

I can make Yugoslav skins for those aircraft if you want
